Tony Gee currently sponsors in the region of 35 students who are undertaking their MEng Civil Engineering (or equivalent) courses either full-time or with an industrial placement year. Students are given placements for eight to ten weeks each summer break, of which they are paid and accrue some holiday entitlement for their efforts.

Whilst the student is with us, we ensure that a real focus on any work they undertake is relevant to their respective discipline and training, and that they will be actively involved in current projects in our offices. We strive to provide a challenging but rewarding environment, so skills they have learned in education can be readily applied to real life situations.

Another crucial element of a student’s time with us is our yearly ‘student week’ programme, where we take all of our undergraduates from around the UK to a number of engineering project sites and research facilities so they can see engineering first hand. Along with this scheme, we support local schools and can offer students week long placements at our offices. We also have Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) ambassadors to further promote engineering and endorse the use of mathematics and physics within the working wold.
