Government of South Australia

The Riverbank bridge is an integral element in the Adelaide Riverbank Precinct Masterplan and will provide access to the redeveloped 140 year old Adelaide Oval into a 50,000-seat world-class multi-purpose stadium.

Tony Gee is completing the detailed design of the new footbridge superstructure. The works comprise the construction of a 135m long footbridge across the River Torrens. The footbridge is highly curved in plan and is supported on V-shaped inclined piers. The works for the viaduct include construction of the deck, parapets, piles, pilecaps, piers, abutments and the run-on approach slabs to the abutments, as well as the cladding to the deck and the piers.
