We are currently seeking Chartered Engineers with experience in rail work to design and manage rail infrastructure projects. Civil, structural and permanent way experience is expected of the successful candidates. A sound engineering background in the coordination of civil/structural engineering projects and an ability to lead teams in developing projects from feasibility through to construction stage is crucial. Experience of bridgeworks and earthworks design on UK infrastructure projects, particularly in a rail environment, would be an advantage but is not essential.

The work will involve engaging directly with Network Rail, partnering contractors and design and build contractors on feasibility studies, bridge assessment, structures strengthening and repair, bridge replacement and other rail related structures.

Title Geotechnical Engineer
Location Esher, Surrey
Job Information

We are seeking Chartered or near-Chartered civil engineers with significant experience in Geotechnics to join our established Geotechnical Group at our head office in Esher. The position carries responsibility for managing diverse international projects, often working closely with our groups in structures, rail, highways and marine and also with leading civil engineering contractors.

Candidates must be technically strong, self-motivated and a post graduate degree in geotechnics would be an advantage. The design of deep excavations, earthworks, heavy piled foundations and embedded retaining walls, including the application of 2-D and 3-D numerical modelling, forms the core of our business and candidates will need to demonstrate experience in most of these areas. There are excellent opportunities for career progression whilst working alongside some of the industry’s leading specialists.

Recent geotechnical projects have included the cofferdam for Canary Wharf Station Crossrail, gas-fired and nuclear power stations and redevelopment of London Bridge Station.

Title Design / Chartered Engineer
Location Ashford, Kent
Job Information

Tony Gee requires a Chartered or an experienced graduate design engineer to join our Ashford Office in Kent. Applicants will be expected to hold a MEng degree or equivalent and should be able to demonstrate and show experience of participation in the design of civil and structural projects from feasibility to construction stage. Tony Gee has a wide variety of projects underway including rail, highways, marine, bridges, earthworks and general structural design and temporary works design.

It is expected that any Graduates applying for this role will have design office experience and will be enrolled onto the ICE training scheme and will have made progress towards completing their development objectives. Graduates would be expected to join Tony Gee’s graduate training scheme for the ICE CPR and site placements can be arranged with contractor clients to gain practical experience. The graduates would be involved throughout the life of a project and be expected to be involved in investigation, survey, feasibility, optioneering, preliminary and detailed design and then provide site support during construction.
