An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced engineer who is close to or has recently achieved chartered status with a relevant professional body such as the Institution of Civil Engineers. Tony Gee and Partners have recently been appointed designers of the Doha Link section of highway, between Shuwaikh Port and Entertainment City, close to Kuwait City. This US$586 project necessitates appointment of a Highway Liaison Engineer to co-ordinate between the various parties to highways design and construction and with other technical disciplines.
The role will last 16 months and require you to join the team in Kuwait and assist in managing the overall highways design process for the execution of the Doha Link Project. This will include in broad terms, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:
In addition to a competitive salary, the successful candidate will be paid a local accommodation allowance, a local living allowance, an allowance for the rental of a car and fuel. Three economy class international return flights from Kuwait, for holidays, will be reimbursed at cost.
Formal holiday entitlement is 27.5 working days per calendar year. This entitlement is calculated as 2.29 days per calendar month (exclusive of statutory holidays). All statutory holidays in Kuwait are given in addition to this holiday entitlement.
Your normal work hours would follow, within reason, the general working hours of the Contractor’s Site office, but we do not expect you to work more than 5 ½ days per week.
Medical insurance and life insurance cover is also included.
